In 2021 Peter Owen will be publishing The Bedlam Trilogy in one volume: Nina in Utopia, The Fairy Visions of Richard Dadd and King of the Vast. The first two have been published before. King of the Vast, a doppelgänger novel about the apocalyptic artist John Martin and his brother Jonathan, will be published for the first time. Each of these three novels is self contained but share the themes of art and madness.

Miranda Miller was born in London in 1950, the youngest of four children. As a child she wanted to act and her love of the theatre has influenced her novels, which are visual and dramatic and contain a lot of dialogue.

“Miller’s intricate fictions are lit by the dark flicker of a strong and original imagination.”

— Hilary Mantel
